Float workshop

In "Float" (an aquatic bodywork workshop), participants take on active and passive roles in an aquatic partner bodywork, focussing on the psychophysical effects of floating and submerging. They will learn how to hold a body in the water. And the particularly brave will learn how to offer their partners the experience of being a dolphin.

The float workshop will take place on Saturday, 27 April 2024 from 1 to 3 pm in the exercise pool of the Mineralbad Berg. Swimwear is obligatory.

Float/Under Treatments

"Float/Under Treatment" is a water experience for one person at a time. This performative treatment takes the participant on a journey in the water based on aquatic bodywork practices. During a private session in the relaxing atmosphere of the movement pool at Mineralbad Berg, Alex Franz Zehetbauer will gently move your body in the warm water. From "supported floating" to gentle submersion, each session is tailored to the wishes and limits of the participant.

The Float/Under treatments take place at the specified times from 27 April to 3 May in the exercise pool of the Mineralbad Berg (duration 45-60 min.). Swimwear is compulsory. Floatation devices and nose clips are used to aid relaxation.

Float/Under Demonstration

For those interested in the "Float/Under treatment", Alex Franz Zehetbauer is offering an introduction to the format on Friday 26 April at 2 pm. Anyone interested in a 1:1 treatment can experience what happens during a treatment from the edge of the pool during this introduction.

About the artist:

Alex Franz Zehetbauer (born 1990 in Brooklyn) is a sonic choreographer, performance artist, and singer currently based in Vienna. Critics have called him: an angel, a swamp monster, and a red-eyed demon. He studied vocal performance, choreography, acting and composition at the Experimental Theater Wing at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the International Theater Workshop in Amsterdam.
